Cosmic Finch

COSMIC FINCH is an Alternative Poprock band from Ghent centred around singer and pianist Bart Ritserveldt. In the late summer of 2008, guitar player Patrick Vercruysse and Bart decided to raise the band Cosmic Finch, they only had to find themselves a drummer. Bart’s brother in law, an autodidact with a lot of experience joined. From that moment on Dennis Vlaeminck completes this trio. 

Each member brings in his own special sound, while having completely different musical backgrounds. 

The drummer, who has been knocking skin since he was twelve, is the foundation of Cosmic Finch’s funky and sometimes intense beat. He grew up playing mostly metal and hard rock, which makes him an excellent contribution to the band’s alternative sound.

Patrick brings everything to life with his guitar. This former bass player produces the finishing touch with his melodic catchy lines. Patrick loves: Arctic Monkeys, The Kills, The Black Keys and many more. You can hear some of those influences in our music.

The final member of this trio is nothing less but the physical warmth and emotion of the band. This singer/pianist enjoyed an education at the conservatory in Ghent where he studied jazz en pop music. He makes up the core of the songs with groovy keys and bass vibrations. His voice can only be described when you listen to him; it presents the band as a whole and adds emotion to the power.
